Gheg is one of the two dialects of the Albanian language, most prevalent in the area north of Shkumbini River (Republic of Albania), which is considered to be the geographical dividing line between the areas where these two dialects (Gheg and Tosk) are spoken.

The introduction includes considerable information on Gheg grammar, which will be of importance to the readers in their effort to learn more about the Gheg dialect.
